I wear earplugs all the time and I still have the cat.....

Well I don't know much about those pipes so i can't help out too much there. I know it's no consolation but you wouldn't be the first rider who thought his pipes were too loud or not working for him. Maybe put them on Ebay or Craigs List and take a small hit?

Sorry...looks like options are pretty limited right now unless a quiet baffle can be had

Thanks for your advice. The megaphone really sound good and I hate to give that up. I will give it some more time and see if I have any more hearing loss.
God I hate being over 50.

Silly question, but have you talked with Bassani to see if they have any suggestions?

I think Bassani makes a 2.250 baffle for it, give them a call.

If you can remove the baffle, wrap it with some baffle wrap. It can be had cheap online...or give fuelmoto a call...I got some good stuff from them quite a few years ago.

If you can wait a few weeks, DK Custom is introducing a line of torque inserts (NOT torque cones). The larger ones will increase your low and mid range torque AND quiet it down a bit.

If they will fit I would trade my Cobra for them. I'm wanting that obnoxious sound since I usually ride with headphones blaring.

Shoot me a PM.

If the baffles are removable, pull them and have someone weld a bolt across the middle of the inlet and/or outlet. Will increase backpressure a bit but also will quiet it down. Have done this with an old set of slip ons in the past, worked great.
