Question Harman Kardon B2107 Code

Speakers work / stop working - Code: B2107 - confirmed bad unit. 5 Months outside warranty...

"....If the icon on the faceplate changes as you toggle the switch, the radio is defective and will need to be repaired....."

Tony Simonelli Service Manager Iron Cross Audio www.ironcrossaudio.com
service@ironcrossaudio.com201-207-7157

Iron Cross Audio: To make the radio work: $ 250 and comes with 6 month warranty. $50 more get a year, plus get upgrades and other mods

Biketronics - Hawng Tunes: "..Note - factory CB, intercom, and rear volume control functions are integrated into the stock radio and cannot be retained when adding an aftermarket radio....."

This is not want I paid for , my passengers and daughter want to talk to me and listen to the music as well, that's why I purchased the big boy FLHTCU

Why buy a used or New "in Box" with No Warranty ?

Why pay E Bay prices of $ 400 plus for a unit that was pulled out of somebody elses bike ?

I am wrong not to pay $300 - $450 for a used / slighty used unit ?

I don't want to pay $4.00 per gallon for gasoline. What's your point?

Point is: I can pay $ 250 and get a 6 mo. Warranty www.ironcrossaudio.com

Why would anybody pay $300 - $400 for a used unit ?

Like buying used gas, at $4.00 per gal.

I guess you just posted a bunch of rhetorical statements. I was just wondering if there was a question in there.

I have Iron Cross saved in my favorites just in case my radio goes out after my warranty is up.

I can give you one good reason, because I had to do it. I bought an 09 FLHT, the Electra Glide Standard. It does not come with a radio. In order to get a rebuilt for $250.00 you have to have a core to send in to be rebuilt. I bought one off Ebay as it was far cheaper than buying one from Harley and it works just fine. It is surprising how many people buy new bikes and then immediately swap out the radio for a different unit. If it breaks, then I will send it in for a rebuild and the guarantee for $250.00. In your situation a rebuilt with guarantee makes way more sense than buying a used one off Ebay.

Next time you talk to Tony at ICA, ask him how many units he sees or talks to owners of HK radios that are NOT repairable and need to be replaced. Those owners who want to retain CB/Intercom as you do will be among those willing to pay $400-500 for a used functioning HK unit rather than buy a new one.

You were fortunate that your HK was repairable; many are not.
