If you don't have adjustable push rods now might be the time. Mine has them and I don't hear any unusual noise from my 110.

If you haven't found your solution, I "may" have it. A good friend of mine has a 2011 CVO SG and was experiencing the same type of noise. The dealer checked primary/trans.....to no avail. Was later determined that the noise is piston slap, I believe it is caused by misshaped pistons. His new pistons are on order and he is waiting to have it put back together. I would recommend you contact your dealer with this possible solution. Hope it helps

On my 103 Road King I figured out part of my noise problem, when I put a Ness big sucker on I used one of the Harley round nostalgic covers and the top end clatter was being magnified somehow by the cover. I ran it down to the city this morning and got it good and hot, pulled the cover for the ride home and it's a little quieter without it, I just ordered a Ness cover that fits the front of the element only...........same clatter just not as loud. Funny thing is I am running the same set up on my 96" Streetglide with no problems!
