Default Solo Seat Mounting

I'm missing something here.

I picked up a Mustang Solo Seat for my 2010 Road Glide. Took the 2-Up seat off and where the solo seat attaches there are nuts and big-*** washers against the fender. Obviously I'm going to get a Fender Bib of some sort to cover up the hardware, but what I don't get is if I leave the existing nuts and washers in place, put the seat on, there are very few threads left to attach the mounts for the solo seat. Do I remove the existing nuts and replace with my solo seat mounting hardware (I have Seat Secure from Brukus), or attach them to the existing bolts with the stock washer/nut in place? Maybe it wouldn't look so odd once I get the fender bib.

for my H-D brawler, I removed the nuts, leaving the big washers in place, I put on the seat mounting bracket ( which is like a big "T") and put the nuts back on.

when the seat is mounted a rear stud attaches the seat to the "T" bracket.

that make sense?

Just put a fender bib on. I also have the Seat Secure from Brukus (along with other stuff of theirs). I love the solo look with my Mustang seat and bib. Matter of fact if you contact Captain Itch he will make you a custom bib if you have a design in mind. Wish I'd have known before I got my Mustang bib.

Just remove the nuts, leave the plastic washers in place, put the seat on and re-install the nuts or whatever hardware you have.

Exactly. Use the hardware and nuts the Mustang comes with. Remove the stock nuts on the fender studs - that white plastic washer stays there. Save them though of couse as you'll need them if you use the 2-up seat later.
