Stock Bar specs - help please.
I am looking at new bars for the Limited. leaning towards the Wild 1s. Either 575 or 577. I need about 2 in pull back and about 2 in taller. I really like the 577s but am afraid they may be a little too high and it seems they do not have the same amount of pull back.
Here is the question - finally - what are the specs on the stock bars on the 2011 ultra? If I knew this I feel I could make a good comparison with the Wild 1 and other brands.
thanks,

The problem trying to make comparisons is that different manufacturers measure their bars differently. If you look at the bar dimension chart in the Harley catalog the numbers bear no resemblance to what other people are advertising. Go over to the Trike forum and I posted some actual pictures with measurements of the stock bars as installed and the WO 575 as installed. The ultra bars and trike bars are the same.

I hear the apes (577's) are far more comfortable than appear; however, for the life of me I don't understand apes on a fairing mounted bike, barring aesthetics of course. If you're a serious cross country rider, then why would you choose to put your hands and sleeves above the fairing to deal with the elements, not to mention bee's, wasps, and other assorted insects that hurt like hell after finding your armpit with no escape! Don't ask how I know, and more than once! IMO keep your hands behind the fairing that you bought the protection for!
And lots of good reviews for the 575's. I've been contemplating these myself. Good luck!

i put the 575's on my limited this year. huge improvement. i wanted just what you said and they delivered. that said - i am seriously thinking about bumping a little higher with the 577's. raising those arms really helps with comfort. i agree on your pullback concern on the 577's and will watch the thread to see how it is answered. good luck - tin
