2012 RKC price?
Looking for some insight here. I'm stationed in Japan and I just got a price from AAFES. 2012 RKC Big Blue Pearl & Vivid Black with the 5 year extended service plan tire & wheel coverage. Total came out to $20,761.00/$19,362.00 w/o the 5 year. I will still have to pay state and local tax, plus tags. Looks like I'll be heading to New Mexico when I come back, and there state tax is 3%. Looking to you guys to see if you think its a good deal or could I get a better deal going thru a state side shop?

Not a bad deal- check what your total tax load would be ( here in AZ it's close to 10% once they all get their mitts in there--- but that's only at the dealer, private sales are no tax.)
Montana has no sales tax on motorcycles, the plates are also permanent--- lots of "RV" ( motorhome, motorcycle, powerboat) owners buy and register in MT, setting up an LLC as the owner.

Thanks for the replies. I still don't have orders back to the states but NM is the best bet. With 3% sales tax its not bad. Big ALbert was that $19600.00 out the door with everything covered? I've read on here where guys get 10-15% off for a year at that dealership. Forgot that price is with the wheel upgrade too.

Seriously doubt you will beat that deal at either Thunderbird Harley here in Al Bu Ker Key or at the Santa Fe dealership. Plus you very well may have an availability issue. There are no Road Kings on the floor at either dealership and both tell me their inventory is going to be limited for 2012. Forget about even SEEING a Switchback on their floor.
