I just put 10w oil in my factory shocks to see if it assists in the bottoming out department. It may be the cure but I'm curious if anyone has tried Progressive's 970's & how they like them.

Are the 970's available for the touring models? According to the website, it says applications for the Dyna and XR1200. Not sure how anyone could have tried them on a touring model.
The spring rates and damping rates on baggers are far sifter than on Dyna models. The bagger shocks are far more upright, reducing the mechanical advantage the swingarm has on the shocks.

I've been waiting to see when they are going to be ready for the tour line also, and alos who will have the best price if they prove to be good, I don't plan to pay $1k for shocks anytime soon.

I've spent the past couple of days reading hundreds of posts/threads on shocks from different forums. I also spent some time talking to people out in Sturgis. I'm planing to order a pair of Ricor shocks for my Ultra.
