Th bike has 35,000 miles miles on it. I had the gear drive with S.E. lifters installed along with the 585 cams at 8,000 miles. at 12,000 miles one of the lifters failed an took out the cam plate, oil pump and cam. Had the standards , not the S.E. lifters reinstalled with new 585's and gears again. So on these lifters I have around 23,000 miles on them. I am running Mobil 1 15W 50. It will only act up with this noise for a very short period (as I stated before only seconds then goes away) upon cold start up. I sure do not want another $1,000 + repair for the same issue.
