On all my Honda's never used BT.

I started to use a BT on my 2009 ultra.... battery is 3 months old.

Same darn problem, would not get a full crank after using the BT for 5 days. I think it killed my first battery...

I now have stoped using the BT all together, unless I pull the battery, there is somthing wrong...

I used the Battery Tender and now have Optimate 1

I connect mine during winter, not during May - October time frame. 2006 RK, original battery. So far, the bike doesn't suspect a thing!

I picked up my new 2011 SG a few months ago. Up until now, it has always started right up, like it should on a full charge. Last Saturday, it took several seconds before starting - long enough to be a concern to me. We rode 125 miles, stopping briefly 3 times along the way, and it started right up, as normal.

Is something going on here? Do you guys use a tender between rides? Do you pull the battery over the Winter?

Thanks for the help, guys.
I use mine all the time, all year round. I wait till I wont blister my fingers then I hook it up to the tender. I've gone 5plus years on any given battery then change em out even then its still a good battery.

I only use my battery tender for about the 3 months during the year. The rest of the time I ride pretty much daily.

I own a battery tender, but have yet to use it..I bought my bike in may of 07 and I just replaced the battery this season. I thought that was pretty good....hall...I haven't even pulled the battery out during the winter months. It is parked in a heated garage from mid December to mid March...I looked into all kinds of replacement batteries when I changed it, and ended up sticking with an OEM...It served me good the first time!
