I wanted a RG when I bought my 07 EGC, but believe it or not, I hated the engine color, and I often said I should've dealt with it. When they changed the frame in 09, and I decided to get another bike, the deal was sealed.
It used to be the only people you saw on a RoadGlide were either the dealership owner or maybe a saleman. They just did not sell.
Once folks found out that the RoadGlide was the best touring platform and Hot Bagger found out what a Bad *** Bagger you could make out of them it all changed.
I'm with the majority and hate the RG...... Until you show me one in Black Denim with just a little bit of Red Stripes. Make it an ultra and I get VERY EXCITED. I almost feel I messed up with getting the SG. Thankfully I still love her.
I test rode the FLTRU when the demo fleet came through here, and I liked it a good bit. This will probably be my next bike after I wear out my current ride...
One thing though, the RG Ultra's 103 did not seem as strong as my 2008 police model's 103... hmmm....
Speedo and Tach need to be relocated to where the stereo is so your eyes don't have to come off the road as far. For that matter, putting the stereo where the current speedo/tach is would allow you to reach it.

Really? That seems like a lot of unnecessary work.
I don't spend a whole lotta time looking at either the tach or speedo... Never found it difficult to check either while riding.
As for the stereo, the only time I have to reach for it is power on or off - otherwise the controls are right at your thumb-tips.
I just can't wait now until my Black Denim Road Glide gets here in a few weeks and post a picture of just how amazingly good it looks. It will make all the other touring models green with envey.
