Default Long Ride Shields-Which Tint?

I'm wanting to order one of the Ultra Flip LRS windshields for my 2007 Ultra. I really like the looks of the dark tint and think it will look great on my red Ultra. I have two questions though: 1) Anybody that has the dark tint, have you experienced any visability problems at night? and 2) Are the H-D dark smoked fairing air deflectors p/n 57740-05 close to the same tint? I intend on getting the 9-inch shield so I will be looking over the top thus I don't see any problems with the dark tint during daytime riding, but I'm wondering if I would be better off getting the medium tint. I don't do that much night riding, but I guess I'm thinking from a safety standpoint.

Just got the dark tint...it's a hair lighter than the factory one. No visibility issues...

Dark tint not only looks better in most cases, at night it comes in handy when some cage lights blind you.

I've got the LRS dark tint 9" - not a big deal at night, but it obviously does make it a little more difficult to see the road directly in front of your wheel. I'm 6'4" so I look over it quite a bit.

The dark looks a bit better. However, I like the lighter to see a bit better.

The dark tint is not as dark as you might think it would be. It matches my fairing air deflectors just fine.

Since you should be looking over the shield it serves no purpose except how you think it looks. I managed to beat my original (tinted) shield. Picket up an anniversary shield on E-bay that was clear. Can not believe the difference. Like it much better. Never realized that since you look over when you do look down it somewhat blocks you vision especially at night and at least on my bike its not so noticeable on there which I like as much as you like it being noticeable. Since I'm 6'4" mine never served any head light blocking and I'm running the tall windscreen.

I've had the med tint but prefer the light tint. Even though you look over it most of time on highway it still is nice to have a clear vision down when in town to avoid pot holes, etc.
