Best cleaner for baked on exhaust crud?

Do not use STEEL WOOL on Chrome it will scratch it. Brass Wool as a LAST resort possibly but not steel wool.
For baked on crud I used Bug & Tar Remover, use a generous amount let it sit ONLY when COLD. Another suggestion is a cloth soaked in Coca Cola (BUT DO NOT GET ON PAINT) let sit for a few minutes then clean with a good metal polish and wax. I use Rim Wax on my exhaust and it keeps it lookin great and when the water or other crap bakes on it is still really easy to clean off.
Pig Snot is also pretty good
Nevr Dull is ok but you dont get a really great shine with it.

Stay away from Turtle products they will damage your chrome. I just had a claim against them for damage done to my Rineharts from using their chrome polish. They sent a representative to meet with me. I let them rub some of their product on my damaged Rinehart in another area and they saw the finish damaged right before their eyes. They said they would get back with me.When I finally received the call they tried to pass the blame on Rinehart for having a poor finish.Well Rinehart was nice enough to send me a blem at no charge.I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER TURTLE PRODUCT but I will buy Rineharts again.
