Forward Controls on the Limited, with Pics
#21
Probably too late for TallDog, since he has put an investment into the forward controls, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in anyway.
When I first purchased my Street Glide, i could NOT get used to the "floor boards" and in a matter of months switched mine out for HHI forward controls. After a couple of 3k mile trips, I found only being able to have my feet in one position uncomfortable at times. After a lot of consideration, I took forward controls off (sold them on ebay to recoup some of my investment) and went back to boards...BUT the kicker is I used Arlen Ness 2" forward brackets, in conjuction with Harley Goodies 1" spacer kit and put on Kuryakyn ISO boards(measure 15" long). I also used Kuryakyn extended shift levers. I now have all the space for my feet and I can move my feet forward so far, that it mimics having forward controls. I can also move might feet to the back of the boards for a different riding position every now and then.
I post this as an option that may work for some, not as the end all for everyone. Just one set up that a person might consider
