Thats some scary chit! Sorry to hear about that, but sure wish that would have happened to me. Your gonna regret that you mentioned that cause now your almost on the same boat as me for not watching where you walk or even packing a flash light. Tough crowd huh? LOL!
I read somewhere that someone said they had fixed the problem on newer models, but I wondered what that change was.... just a passing thought... then yesterday I went to look down really fast near the back of my RG and I just about shoved the end of my antenna throught the bottom of my chin/neck!! Now I see what people are talking about!! Dangerous. I put some 1/4 silicone tubing over in and then used some black electrical shrink tubing. Now it looks like a cat tail and the top is soft and flexable...

My girlfriends father wrapped a bill bottle in black and orange tape and put it on the antenna. I thought that it was hilarious, we both laughed our asses off!
