I added cruise control to my FLHR for long tours. It was money well spent. I now consider it a must-have option that I will never be without.

Till I started using it I seemed to always find myself doing about 85. I figure it keeps me ticket free. I use the heck out of it now.

Must be a throttle lock. My electronic cruse stays at what I set it at up hill or down. The only time it differs is if I am in too tall of a gear for the hill then I just down shift and hit resume and all is good. Two things I never thought belonged on a bike were cruse and tunes. I have both and would not buy a bike without them unless it was a classic restoration project. Cruse is worth every penny short hops keep you from looking down and finding you are going faster than the limit. Long hops let you rest your hands as you know get tired after a few hundred miles. Cruse also helps with mpg on long trips. Too each his own try a bike with cruse on in if you are not sure. Take a demo ride on a new one.
