I like to run hard and get to my destination and the cruise control sure helps. Also it keeps me from meeting those nice folks with badges while they are on duty. lol

Also I get better mileage...

Highly recommended no matter what IMO. I always wanted it since '02, now I've got it!

This is my second bike with cruise. I'll never own a bike without it now.

It's one of the best add-ons you'll ever do. If you ride on the open road at all, it's a 'must have' (or at least, really-nice to have). You can buy the kit and do-it-yourself in two or three hours even taking it easy, if you're at all handy, and you've got the Maintenance Manual for your bike. The bike's already wired, you pretty much just need to mount the module, run the servo cable to the throttle body, attach it, run the handle-bar wires into the headlight nacelle, plug them in, then do the lash adjustment (outlined in the manual, and available online if you look).

After having a bike with cruise I would find it difficult to do without it.

Yes, it is worth it. I use mine all the time. I know it's saved me from getting tickets and it probably saves me gas as well.

Before I got my Street Glide I thought that cruise on a bike was strange, now I wouldn't want one without it.
