Default gel pads

[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

Hey, need some advice. Any of you use a gel pad or some form of butt pad? What do you think of them? Would you buy another or go a different route. What are some differences with the brands? Any help and/or suggestions sure appreciated.
Thinking about spring already.

thanks and ride safe from north missouri

Twinfreeze here. Say, anyone ever hear of a ROHO AIRHAWK pad, or know anything about it other than its expense as...

thanks and ride safe

I used gel pads on my old bikes with very little success. On long trips I have just been using a stock ultra seat with sheepskin and that is as comforatable as the gel, I found.

Another vote for Alaska Sheepskins. Been using them for 4 years on all my bikes.
Good Summer and Winter..Great Company, great service.

Gel pad I had professionally inserted in my stock seat bought me an extra 15 minutes or so. Didn't do much for the looks of the seat either.

The Airhawk is a bit pricy, but is extremely comfortable.Will set you up about 1/2 to 1 inch higher in seat.Love mine.

I ride alot of miles and the air hawk is about as good as I've sat on. You can adjust the ammount of air in it and AND you can adjust WHERE it sits!!
And where it sits is about as good as how hard or soft it is. I got a chipped tailbone and where IS very important! Move it forward and it takes the presure off the tailbone or slide it back and it seems to take some presure off the joints. If you got a pinched nerve on one side you can sit the airhawk off alittle to the other side and relive that nerve. So you can do alot of adjusting with the Airhawk. I got mine inflated enough that it's like rideing on an air pillow, which it is, but 4-5-600 mile days just melt away with no butt aches!!
I bought a Cop seat which are about the most comfortable seat there is and was about to put it on my Glide when I tried the Airhawk. Still running the Airhawk. I don't ride it for just arround town hops and toss it in the tourpac but anything over 20 min rides and out the Airhawk comes.
I han't tried the Sheepskin but I would klike to just to compare them.

you can try an Airhawk at one of the bike dealers that carry them. Get them to let you set on one of their bikes with the airhawk. So you can try one without any bucks spent..
