Default ABS wheel bearing upgrade part number

2009 RKC with ABS. Im about to change my tires and thought while I was doing it, I'd upgrade the wheel bearings since Ive read so many threads here with the OE bearings sucking. Anyone have the part number for the Timkens for the new bikes with ABS? Thanks...

Good luck. Don't think you'll find Timken's with the ABS magnet

So far it seems like the ABS bearings are proprietary to HD. All ***** seems to have good bearings for the non ABS bikes, but I don't think even they have the ABS bearings yet.

There's a magnet inside which is read by/interacts with the ABS sensor.

That's interesting. I just sold my BMW, which had a series of 'teeth' round the inner diameter of one of the brake rotors. I assumed Harley had done something similar on a smaller scale on the wheel bearing, moving on a generation or two from my old BMW.

Of course Dawg is only writing what his lovely lady tells him!

I wonder whether the ABS sensor picks up the ball bearings, or there is something else in there. I'm going to do my bearings soon so I may just pick one apart and have a look just for curiosity.

there are little "windows" inside the seal portion of the brg, as the brg rolls the sensor picks up the broken field caused by the windows, if you lock up the wheel, the sensor sees that its not moving (or moving at wrong speed) and activates the pump which starts to control the amount of pressure on the rotor. this keeps you in control by allowing you to steer, but does increase your stopping distance
