Default awesome manual compression release install pic's

Just want to share the work I got back from VulcanWorks. They drilled out, tapped and installed a pair of MCR valves on some take of heads I bought. The heads are going into my 103" stage II build, which also includes a primary rebuild. They did a super job and turn around time was amazing. They received on Thursday and back in my hands on Monday. As a retired aircraft inspector, believe me when I tell you that I found no spec's of metal dust from the drilling anywhere and I looked in every hole, crevasse, seam, etc. Super, super job.

Good work. I think I would like manual releases if I need them.

I don't know what kind of compression you are running, but my static is 10.5:1 with a stage 2 build and I am running no comp. release with the stock starter. I have no cranking issues. What kind of comp. ratio are you building to?

What is your ccp? Generally 185 is the threshold for cr's. You may just be lucky. Very cheap insurance while the heads are off...

For my money the manuals are the way to go. If one has problems just remove it, clean and reinstall, or replace it. With an automatic you have more that can go wrong with it and if you need to replace/remove it, a lot more work.
