My friend says, if you don't bottom out once in a while, that means you're not using the full travel of your shocks.

Been on 5 High Seas Rally cruise's and have won some good stuff. Was hoping for the Ohlins this year but no luck.

Do you know if they are giving you single rate springs, or progressive rate springs?
Not sure of the spring rate. I'll send them an email today. What is the difference between single rate and progressive rate?

They obviously haven't enjoyed thousands of miles of bottoming-out free riding!

If you skipped one of those events, could you afford a set as compensation?!

When buying premium shocks like Ohlins I would hope they come with springs and damping matched to you and your ride. That means single rate springs. Progressive-rate springs are a compromise, but common on cheap suspension systems.

he said: If you did not go on just one of those cruises, with the money saved, you probably could purchase the shocks.

Had a dumb spell….I am lucky and could do both. I am re-searching the Ohlins and this is a great source for info.

Look up the High Seas Rally, we have many people from the UK on the cruise.

Looking forward to installing the Ohlin shocks. They won't be here until January and that is the middle of winter in little Rhode Island. If we get a day about freezing I'll be out for a test ride.
