Default Just missed becoming a hood orniment

My wife and I just got back from a 2400 mile trip from Seattle out through Wyoming. About mid way between Helena and Billings Montana, we're crusing about 70mph on a two lane road, oncoming traffic is pretty heavy when some jerk pulls out to pass about a half dozen cars, well good thing there was a little paved shoulder because both my wife on her bike and me hit the shoulder just in time for this guy to come flying by us in our lane. An incredible experience that shook both of us, but about all you can do is shake it off and keep going.

Good move and keeping the rubber side down. And I bet the A-hole never slowed down ...

Happy it turned out well for both of you. The lack of respect and thinking by drivers is only getting worse.

you'd think that with all the bikes in that area headed for Sturgis, drivers would be a little heads up.

But no.

I ride with my high beam on in the day- hoping, but probably the ****** will do what they want anyway---bigger is better, right?

I have a pal who keeps stuff in his pockets to throw at windshields--- sometimes I'm tempted.

I wonder if it would be self-defense, hell, you were afraid for your life, as any normal person would be, and auto's have been deemed as deadly weapons. Pull out a pistol and start shooting ... but then you would only have one hand on the bars to get out of the way.

That's when you turn around, chase him down and give him a good lesson in proper driving technique with your boot to his face.

Great plan. And then you spend a lot of time in prison wishing you could ride.

Unless you pull that moronic move in a state where people carry guns, in which case you wind up dead.

Awesome plan, there.

Really.

People who don't ride haven't a clue about rallies like Sturgis and certainly don't get the importance of that 1 question or 2 on the drivers exam addressing extra caution for motorcycle riders.
