Not sure. Its been a couple years since I installed the xm mudule. There was a bunch of extra wires that weren't used and I think the harness I got might be the same one needed. My wife wants a head set so " we can talk" I has a set of scala head sets but would rather have the harley wired booms

hog95023, yes, the NUOH (HD p/n 70169-06A which is a revised p/n since I did the CB install on my bike; the p/n used to be 70169-06 and I don't know what the difference is between the -06A and -06 harnesses) is used when adding XM to a non-Ultra. If you already have that harness on your bike, you can use the 77108-09A kit to add intercom with the rider and passenger connections plugged into the connectors on the NUOH. The 77107-09 intercom kit doesn't use the NUOH; it supplies a harness that connects directly to the HK radio for the rider and passenger headset connectors, etc., rather than connections for rider/passenger headset and passenger controls to the NUOH used by the 77108-09A kit.

Audioi, when adding intercom, CB, etc. to a non-Ultra, additional wiring is required to access the 35 wire plug on the back of the HK radio for these functions. On a '06 or newer non-Ultra, that 35 wire plug is not used.

Carl,

I did this install on my 08 SG a couple of weeks ago. Followed your directions to the letter and it worked out great! No problem. I have two questions:

1. 99% of my riding is done with my detachable King Tour Pak on. If I decide to add speaker pods with passenger hand controls to my King Tour Pak, how would I go about running separate wiring to the pods so the wife would have easier access rather than having to reach down on the right side to control PTT or volume controls. Is this even possible?

2. Just for clarity, any bike to bike communication has to be done through the CB right? my buddy and his friend both have 09 Ultra Classics. He said all three bikes can communicate through the intercom. He said you just "pair" the intercoms. I don't believe this is even possible as Bluetooth technology wasn't very common in 2008-09...Your thoughts?
