Question Intercom problems question

When we push the pip to talk the radio gets louder instead on quieter. Opposite of the way it's suppose to work. This is when we are using the intercom and using head phones. Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

Not true. If the CB is off, you can use the PTT button to manually activate the intercom without using the VOX. At interstate speeds, VOX sometimes has to be turned down so much that you have to yell to activate it or listen to open mics the entire time.

To the OP, wish I could help, but not sure what that means. Sorry.

If you are accidentally pressing the volume button with your big fat thumb (I got one too!) at the same time as you are trying to engage the PTT, then that may cause some issues. Make sure you are not touching the volume control button when you are pushing the PTT and see if it still does that weird backward fading thing. Also, even if you are not using VOX, go ahead and set it up anyway. With full face helmets, vox works pretty good, not perfect, but pretty good. With anything else (where the wind hits the mic most of the time) it works, but not as consistently good and you end up having to desensitize the mic to keep the wind from keeping the intercom circuit active all the time. If you are touring a lot, then the full face is a good choice for comfort, protection, and communication.
