whats it worth?
2000 ultra classic
motor has been worked and made to a 95" or maybe its a 96"
cams, and all other supporting mods
V&N long shots
15k miles
dealer maintained
my father is looking at this thing. its his father in laws. this guy is a harley nut, and all work to the bike is done at the dealer and on time.
he is getting ready to buy a new road glide custom, and offered it to my father for $8767
seems like a good deal to me. i have seen the bike in person, and seen it in action. its got some power thats for sure.
so is it a good deal? whats the thing worth?

Obviously he got the selling price from somewhere....online or a compiled cost of parts. $8767 is an unusual specific price for a used bike. That said, it's probably about right...maybe a bit high for a '00. Given the low miles and mods, I'd say it's close. Value is always in the eye of the beholder....if your dad thinks it's worth it, than it probably is.
FYI....if a carb bike, ask about carb upgrade. If an EFI, just so you know there's many complaints about the MM EFI system on those years....kind of funky and hard to tune. That year, you're probably better off on a carb bike.
Just thoroughly check it out...price is a little high but might be right. Again that said, money and friends/family never mix well....be careful.

...yes...with those miles?..it's a REAL nice deal...hell...that's about as good as it gets...grab it..15K miles?..that's nothing on a Twin Cam..PLUS it has a big bore(it would be a 95" most likely if done by the dealer)....grab it fast..If I was in the market for a used Ultra...that's the kind of deal I would JUMP on....why pay $23,000 for a new one...that bike will do anything a new one will do for..AND will run a hell of a lot cooler...
