Default Complete chrome control kit

First question, I'm putting a set of Wild 1 14" Chubby Bagger Apes on my EGC, and I'm considering swapping everything out for chrome. Is there a specific chrome control kit for this size bars (or same as stock measurements)?
Secondly, having said this, any advice on where to purchase a decent, reasonably priced complete chrome kit? I priced H-D gear, and it's ~$895.00 Canadian (before taxes).
It seems that some kits I've found are priced ridiculously low, and you most often get what you pay for.
Appreciate any advice.

The Wild 1 bars are turned down at the ends to accept standard 1" controls. If you are looking for a bargain in a set of chrome controls, check Ebay for a chrome shop that is selling a set of chromed factory controls. I bought a set for my FXR for $160. I think it's a better option than buying aftermarket and not knowing what you are getting.

The Wild One Chubby's are actually a 1" inside a 1-1/4" with cutouts @ the ends and center, so no problem with controls or center clamp. As far as brand, when doing mine, (WO518's with chrome controls) my indy HIGHLY recommended HD for quality/fitment. Like you said, you usually get what you pay for. But $895 still seems high. I don't have a catalog with me now, but I seem to remember it being around $500 for the levers, switch housings, and master cylinder/ clutch bracket

Thanks, guys.
Had a look on ebay and a few other places, and it does seem there are some alternatives to H-D. Not all are exactly what I'm looking for, but it's a process of elimination going through these sites.
Thanks again!

I bought the ebay switch housings and they worked awesome for 69.95. The only thing i suggest is when you pull the switch caps and more when you put the new ones on be VERY careful. When I put the audio cap on I rocked it a little and poped the cap on the switch. Cost me 67.00 for a new switch from HD.

I looked at chopperscycle.com. I also have to be careful of the price, as I'll get nailed on customs/taxes/etc. when it's coming across the border. In most cases, it makes the best sense to order within Canada.

There may be some that are ok but I try to stay away from after market accessories. I buy all of my accessories from Chicago H-D.

I agree. It's starting to look like it may be the wisest decision not to cheap out.
Also, you just can't trust some of the sites when it comes to particular part/bike fitment. Some sites will say that it fits my '09 EGC, but when I eyeball the set-up, I notice there's no slot for the radio controls in the housing.
Reminds me of a part I was searching for last year for my '09 LowRider. I noticed that they claimed the particular item also fit H-D 2010 FXDL...the last year for the LowRider was 2009. Just goes to show you have to put a good deal of thought and planning into it before you buy.
