they were a little too loud for me especially on long rides. I went with the Vance and Hines Monster Rounds. Sound like the monster ovals just not as large. I love em

I have them on a 2005 RKC with the stock header. Sound great, low cost compared to other options. Would recommend.

Had them on mine b 4 I changed to V&H monster ovals. Sounded great, ran them for a few years. All V&H products are top quality. Never had any chrome peeling issues or anything else. Just wanted a lower tone was only reason for changing.

I have the basic V&H slip-ons and I wish I would have gone with the Reinharts or just a set of SE pipes. the quality is great; no complaints there but the noise novelty has worn off and they are just too loud for long distance riding. They sound nice and they are not really loud when comparing them to other loud pipes but IMO the 4" Reinharts would be a better choice. Another option would be the Supertrap SE slip ons; I have not heard them in person but from what I heard on line and from others they give you a nice deep tone just slightly louder than stock

Campos, I am thinking about the rounds and like what you said. Are you running stock headers?

I have the TwinSlash 4.5" Monster Ovals and IMO there isn't a better sounding muffler, I can hear the radio great, nice deep rumble.

I run the V&H Twin Slash Rounds with Dresser Duals on my 2011 RGC 103. I went with them after listening to many You Tube clips. I wanted muffs that had a more traditional throaty sound, rather than a deep rumble like the Monster Rounds/Ovals offer. I also wanted muffs that you could definately "hear" but were not so friggin loud that they required me to wear ear plugs. I like just enough loudness for cages to hear me on the freeway.

I got what I wanted with these muffs. They are a little loud on hard/fast acceleration, but not ridiculously loud while cruising at 2800-3000 rpm. They are very tolerable, and that's coming from a guy who hates hearing Harley's with super loud pipes. I like my hearing. I can also hear my Hog Tunes 2-channel system fine. I've put 3k miles on them so far and am still happy. No ringing ears after rides, and no pissed off cages while riding, excluding the rare ocassion I throttle hard to pass or something.
