RE: Needing just a little more leg room

Hello All,
Just made my 15year dream a reality. I just ordered my first Harley. I'm purchasing a RK standard and need more leg room. I'M 6'5" with long arms. The salesman told me to get a HD Tallboy seat and that would move me back an inch or so. My question is, would this surfice? Is there another brand out there I should be looking at? When I sit on the bike I do feel the need to be back more. Oh I forgot to mention I'm 275lbs as well so all you big dogs feel free to let me know what I need to comfortable. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thank,
Tony

Have Badx member here do a modification to your seat, did a great job on mine.

BADX can help if you want be lower, but I don't think he can move you back much. If all else fails, try the Accutronix forward controls for baggers. This will give you about 7" more leg room. Only problem is then you just have pegs and no floorboards. Solved all my hip pain problems when I got my legs stretched out.

It depends on the seats design on how much I can move a rider back. Some seats I can move the rider back 3"s and other only a inch.

Here is a pic of my 1998 FLHPI. Police Road King. Instead of forward controls I had forward floorboards. It is an easy mod to do. $20.00 for the crashbar clamps and then you need another piece that has a threaded hole for the clamps to screw to and tapered hole at top for the pin. Mine simply had a nut welded to the bottom but we found a better no-weld solution after the fact. If you need more info let me know. I may have some better pics and should be able to provide pic of parts you need.

Looks good Dante and that made me think of something that really bothers me when I ride but its not a eye sore. I feel the floorboards are mounted inboard too much. I often find my feet hanging off the sides of the board when I ride and when I think about pulling my feet in to be on the floorboard it feels awkward.
