Default Best Cables on the Market?

Need opinions on who makes the best brake lines, idle, throttle and clutch cables. I have experience with HD and Barnett, but what other high quality cables are worth considering? Reliability and performance are key. Thanks!

I use Russell cables on my FLHRI, 16" Wild1s w/ HD "Classic" floating rotors (likely also Russell products).

The HD cables are rebadged Magnums I believe. I bought one of their clutch cables to replace my Barnett cable and it was substantially nicer. Only issue is their protective sheathing is not terribly durable, make sure your cables are routed correctly.

Goodridge is the best choice for brake lines, IMHO.

+1 on lack of durability of Magnum sheathing. Real easy to bugger it up.

Default My Magnum woes

Like others have said, their shielding is crap. Went for one ride and it was worn through, so route carefully. Also ordered throttle and idle cables 2" shorter, both installed and they were no where near parrallel, one hung far lower coming off the grip. a

I agree that the Magnum cables are very fragile on the coating. I had ordered a a +4 when I put the Wild 1 575 bars on and there were no instructions. The adjustment lug is backwards from the stock and when I went to adjust it, it came apart which makes it pretty much useless. My screw-up I suppose but I ordered the +4 from Barnett direct and am very satisfied with them. Attempting to route the Magnum through the fairing resulted in several cuts to the outside sheathing. The Magnum were attractive, but I consider a cable to be a functional item, not show item, and I prefer durability and reliability.

Hmmm, there definitely seems to be a trend with Magnum....
