Good advice already posted, I'm also a big fan of the E-3. The MU90B16 is a good back tire for an '08 touring bike. I just read your thread, I changed my rear yesterday.

20,700 miles before tread wear indicator became flush with the rest of the tread...very pleased. Good traction tire in wet conditions.

Good luck with your purchase,

Not sure what they were, but I got 15K miles out of the ones on my 09 EG Classic. Stock tires, I guess, on it when I bought it. I put them on again. The ride was great.

Just had new tires installed yesterday on my 2010 StreetGlide. It came with the HD branded Dunlops, 408 on front and 407 on rear. I got 18K on them and probably could have gotten maybe another 2K or so but I was "ready" for new rubber (got some trips coming up). I am very pleased with these Dunlops and got another set just like them. I rarely ride two-up and do not ride aggressively so maybe that accounts for the high milage. We will see how well this second set holds up. Had them installed at my local HD dealership so I am to ashamed to say how much I paid for them.

My new rear is supposed to be here on Monday. Been using E3's for the last 40K miles. They stick in the twisties just fine and drag the boards from time to time...

Default Pirelli Night Dragon

Somewhere in one of these forums, a rider mentioned that he had the Pirelli Night Dragon tires on his Harley. He got good mileage and they stuck like glue in wet conditions.

As I move onto my next set, I am going to do more research on these vs. the Dunlop E3s.

FYI . . .

I just put the second set of E3s on my '08 EGC. I changed them with 17,000 miles with a couple thousand left but had a big trip coming up. I'm really happy with the E3s.

My 07 FLHTC takes a MU85B16 rear. When I went on the Jake Wilson website the only tire listed in that size is the Dunlop 402. What size E3 will fit my bike?

Look at the EIII Bias Ply MU90B16... this is the one that matches the MU85B16

I used a set and they were the smoothest tire i have had and the shortest life tire i have had...5000 miles...I won't be using them again...Maybe if i had a lighter bike but not for the touring...I don't care how smoth they are....
