I had 10 miles on mine when I purchased it. The dealer said he test rode it to make sure everything was OK.

Really not a big deal. Like someone said, they gotta test ride em. Maybe it was a nice day and the tech didn't wanna get right back to the shop. It's 19 miles. I certainly wouldn't be a bit concerned. I think eack of my new bikes had between 5 & 10. Again no big deal. Now if it's got a couple hundred, I'd be wondering WTF???? Ride safe & enjoy.

Harley recommends the tech to put at least 10 miles during the PDI test ride.

A dealership tried to get me to trade my '08 UC for 11' Limited last year or so and they pulled the bike off the floor for me to drive, it had like a couple of miles on it and I added probably less than 10 more.

Maybe the guy told you that by honest mistake or maybe he didn't want it to possibly spoil the deal. I would have asked how the difference got on there just for the sake of knowing.
I did ask, I was told a couple of bikes came in with problems. A customer bought a bike rode it home it was leaking oil. The other problem with another bike. The brakes wasn't working properly. The salesman said now they take a extra test ride. To make sure the bike goes to the buyer with no problems. It may very well be the truth.

Guess the dealer couldn't fix that butt ugly color of your bike though, eh?

yep, the more miles on it, the more they had to fix and get right, don't buy it, look for one with 1 mile on it, means everything was right the first time.

Mine had a little less than 20 on it when I left the dealer, over 100 by the time I got home (the long way). A week later it was 1000 check-up time.

13 km's (8.07 miles) on my 08 RG
22 km's (13.6 miles) on the 09 SB, but I had some work done before delivery such as the wide tire kit.
16 km's (9.94 miles) on the 02 Heritage
18 km's (11.18 miles) on the 07 Buell Blast.

So this would be the norm for new bikes. They do not let you take test rides here. They do have 2 demo rides per year at each of the 2 dealerships in my city.
