Default Road King converted to Ultra Classic

HEY GUYS, LAST WEEK I CONVERTED MY ROAD KING 2011 TO A ULTRA CLASSIC. I PUT THE FAIRING FOR A ULTRA CLASSIC ON MY ROAD KING AND IT FITS GREAT AND ALL THE GAUGES ARE WORKING INCLUDING THE RADIO & THE CB. I ALSO ADDED A TOUR PACK ON MY BIKE AND IT LOOKS PRETTY NEAT. THE TOUR PACK COMES WITH THE SPEAKERS IN THE REAR OF THE TOUR PACK AND IT ALSO HAS A PUSH TALK. BESIDES THAT I KEEP THE SAME CONSOLE FOR THE ROAD KING BUT I CHANGE THE CONSOLE FOIR ULTRA CLASSIC BECAUSE I NEED THE INTERCOM WITH THE HEADSET. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING NOW IT A DIFFERENT BIKE AND IT LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT. WHAT I LEARN IS THAT THE ROAD KING IS THE SAME BIKE AS THE ULTRA CLASSIC BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS ACCESORIES. I CALL BEFORE HARLEY DAVIDSON AND THEY SAID IT HAD NEVER BEEN TESTED. BUT EVERYTHING LOOKS REALLY NEAT AND I AM VERY HAPPY. THANK YOU GUYS. YOU CAN SEE ON THE LINK FOLLOWED. http://youtu.be/WxN9mznJlE8

Not sure if the charging system on all touring bikes is the same. I think that the stator on an ultra has a higher amp rating than road kings. You might want to check.

It took me two years of touring before I realized I wanted the fairing, stereo, tour pack and lowers. What made you do the switch so quickly, and why didn't you just buy the ultra to begin with? Not knocking you, but as far as you went it may have been cost effective. Bike looks great.

There have been times when I've challenged the "why didn't buy one in the 1st place" comment. Like Jonny, it seems that the decision to modify a RK with a fairing and all the other stuff happens after a guy has had the bike for a while. And then mods usually occur piece by piece over time. But with such a new bike, I'm curious too, why didn't you just buy the ultra to begin with? Maybe you just wanted the experience?

the little punctuation mark (.) is your friend. try it, you'll like it... and so will we.

so, you are saying it cost you $15,000 to convert?
