That tank has to go friend, looks dumb having a consol on it with a useless fuel door and fuel gage that's not needed now that you have one on the fairing.

Really, really nice work! That's quite a bit more involved than just slapping on an aftermarket fairing (like I did).

Wow Roadkike, that is amazing! The attention to detail that one would have to have to that successfully is mind blowing. Eventually, I'd like to add a batwing to my RK, but I think I will stick with an aftermarket convertable like the Dragonfly. Again, great job Roadkike.

Very nice job! That sure had to take a lot of effort! When you do your own work on a project like that it has to feel very rewarding to see it turn out so well!

But just like everything we do to our bikes, the downside is when it comes time to sell it (if that time does come) you can't ever get back the cost of the extras, nor the value of your time spent working on it. And if a potential buyer needs to have financing done, the "bank" won't even take a look at all of the hard work, they will just plop down a price based on the VIN/title, they will say "we can only loan X for that Road King".

The upside is, you get to ride a very nice bike that you saved a ton of money on (compared to buying a Limited) AND when time comes to pay taxes on it, you pay for the value of a Road King instead of an Ultra Limited, and that doesn't suck at all!

Very nice work. I thought of the same for my RK when purchased back in 05.
Big deterrent for me using stock fairing parts was the brackets crack issue.

I have done the same with DeadCenterCycles fairing. Most all the other Ultra conversion on my RK was factory Ultra parts with except speaker pods from DragonFly.

Your conversion looks great.

THE TOUR PACK COMES WITH THE SPEAKERS IN THE REAR OF THE TOUR PACK AND IT ALSO HAS A PUSH TALK. BESIDES THAT I KEEP THE SAME CONSOLE FOR THE ROAD KING BUT I CHANGE THE CONSOLE FOIR ULTRA CLASSIC BECAUSE I NEED THE INTERCOM WITH THE HEADSET. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING NOW IT A DIFFERENT BIKE AND IT LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT. WHAT I LEARN IS THAT THE ROAD KING IS THE SAME BIKE AS THE ULTRA CLASSIC BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS ACCESORIES. I CALL BEFORE HARLEY DAVIDSON AND THEY SAID IT HAD NEVER BEEN TESTED. BUT EVERYTHING LOOKS REALLY NEAT AND I AM VERY HAPPY. THANK YOU GUYS. What did you have to do to make the outer/inner fairing work? Do you have to remove the Road King nacelle (headlight housing)? What about the Road King windshield mounting brackets? What parts are needed to put the HD outer/inner fairing on? I really want to add the fairing like this to my RK and switch to painted bags. I have the lower fairings already and the tour pack (King Pack).
