NEWB question about tires for 09 RKC
Im trying to order a new set of white wall tires for my 09 Road King Classic. The best I can tell from websites like JC Whitney and Dennis Kirk is that the Dunlop 407's were made specifically for the 09's. I don't know what that means exactly, but I have seen that on several websites. The problem is that the 407's are only available from Harley Davidson. What are my other options in a whitewall for an 09? Would a Dunlop 402 fit?

The '09 and later bikes went to a wider rear tire compared to previous years. The front tire is a traditional size.
There's not a huge selection right now for '09 and up other than the H-D tire by Dunlop and it's expensive. The only other one I know of personally is another tire by Dunlop called the "American Elite" which is what I'm currently running on my '09 RK standard. I will say I'm getting outstanding wear/mileage out of the tires so far. The rear tire has 13,500 miles on it and has LOTS of tread left.

put mezlers front an back on my 09 street glide. not as expensive as dulops and handle worlds better. bought the online from shade tree. check em out, i have over 11k miles on them and are doing their job. will have to go get the name or numbers off the tire. just souldn't believe the difference in handling
