Default Swapping XM module Help Please!!

Buddy of mine has an 06 streetglide and just bought an 08 ultra. I told him that we could swap the module from the 06 with a HK radio to his 08 with an HK, but he had his bike at an indy for some other work and the indy said he could not swap it because the wiring harness wouldn't work.

Is there a difference between the 06 SG and 08 ultra?? If the wiring harness is not there is there one that HD sales to go on it?

Default XM wring harness

I have an 08 Ultra also . I ran into the same problem when I got the XM module. Harley makes a plug an play harness. If I remember right, for about 100 bucks. Look in the Harley cataloge in the radio section to find it. It made the install a breeze.

you just need to order the correct harness as the one for the street glide will not work on the ultra. ran into the same problem, just have the dealer order the right one and it will plug right in.

I concur with just ordering the proper harness. The install is so easy that I did it myself! The only issue I have with the HD XM module is the significant difference in volume (much lower) between the module and other audio sources (FM, iPod, AM, etc). On the HD XM module, the audio output is non-adjustable.

I'm not sure there are any operating instructions. Mine had some install instrucions. I think the operating would be covered in owners manual since after install it becomes one system.

Default 2009 SG XM module

I have searched and searched but nada. Can anyone tell me if the XM module (Module #76165-06) from a 2008 Elec. Glide will work on my 2009 SG, I have the Harmon Kardin Advance Radio system. I know the SG requires a different wire harness but will the above module work on my SG?

Any help would be much appreciated!
