roadglide wellnut replacment
Hi,
I don't know how many times you people change your shield on the roadglide but I have three different shields and those stock rubber wellnuts have been a real pain for me in the past but not anymore,
I ordered a bag of clip on nut plates and lo an behold they fit right on with out much trouble.
I have a picture of the on the bike.
I had to grind down a bit to get the hole centered on two, and the middle one I thought was going to be a problem because it is reinforced there but I slipped it on and then just bent it down to fit. The shield now comes on and off with out any trouble.
You had to be real careful with the well nuts or you could push them right into the bottom of the fairing.
Let me know what you people think.
