HK Radio Losing Time
#5
To set the Time of Day, here is what the owners manual says:
-Set the time of day with the ignition/headlamp key switch turned to IGNITION or ACCESS but with the stereo receiver OFF.
-Press the Set soft key on the front panel to display the time setup menu
-To increase the hours in the display press the Hrs+ soft key. To decrease hours press the Hrs- soft key. When the hour is correct, release the soft key.
-In increase the minutes in the display press the Min+ soft key. To decrease minutes press the Min- soft key. When the minute is correct, release the soft key.
That came from page 93 of the Touring owners manual. I need to adjust mine. It's lost about 30 minutes in a years time. Hope this helps.

I am guessing here, but the clock in the HK may be designed for 13.8 VDC or some other voltage close to this value to maintain it's time constant. If voltage falls below that which is required, then the clock slows. It's a real pain and quite frankly unacceptable that in this day and time HD chooses a stereo head that cannot do something as simple has keep the correct time.
