Default Having problem getting cord from Headlight

I have searched removing the headlight for the cord and what I get is just that, disconnect the cord from the light. Well I am either missing a trick or soemthing is wrong. I have tried, pulling the clip from the bulb with even peasure, even tried very hard to the point that the spring and black rubber cover damn near come off with actual light bulb attached. Almost like there is a clip or something holding the clip itself to the actual bulb prongs. So, am I missing something here?
Sorry if this is a very dumb question, but I am having a problem with it and it is kinda embarassing....
Thanks for any help!!

You're not missing anything, they're just tight as hell sometimes. The connector will pull from the bulb eventually. The first time I did mine I removed the clip, took the bulb out of the housing, put my hand in a plastic baggie (so as not to contaminate the bulb's glass if I touched it) and pulled by the metal base of the bulb and the rubber 'case' that has the 3 connectors in it. When I put it back in I put a dab of dielectric grease on the prongs

I assume is for your 09 FLHT with the fairing. Squeeze the sides of the wiring together and it should detach fairly easy.

Look for the side taps extend about 1/4" from the wiring plug. That's where you squeeze.

If you're talking about unplugging the electrical harness from the headlight you should be able to disconnect it by squeezing on the sides of the plug where it attaches to the headlight and pull it off. Squeezing releases the "tangs" that lock the harness to the bulb. Hope this helps.

Never knew about squeezing. I've always worked the plug back and forth till it came off. Some are tighter than others but I never had a problem.

Ditto what Uncle Larry said--- there are 2 little "pads" on either side of the bulb connector. Gently squeeze each side of the black connector, while pulling it away, and it should pull right off.

What the others said.... but.... push, squeeze, pull. Sometimes the little tangs get stuck in the holes.

Practice saying this before you approach the bike, ""DAMN, THAT WAS EASY"" I was in your shoes a while back and faught with that thing like CRAZY, then asked a shamless question just like you did, and WALAA!!! It comes apart simple as can be... just a little squeeze.
