200 Tire on 2011 FLHX
Good afternoon everyone. I'm trying to search the forum for info on tires for the 2011 SG. I'm going to buy wheels for my Glide soon and was told that my 2011 will take a 200 wide tire on a 6.25 inch wheel. Does anyone have any experience with this set-up? Also, if anyone can tell me where to look for the best package deals, that would be greatly appreciated as well. I've been on a few websites to look at what they have, but some of them are saying "does not include offset spacers". Best tires to run with maybe a 21 front and 17 rear? Is this the best combo?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I've heard of guys putting 205 tires on, doesn't leave much clearance, about 1/4" on each side. I have a 195 on mine and have more than 1/2" on each side.
Jake Wilson has good deals on tires, Dennis Kirk is not bad either. I don't know about package deals.

Hogpro and Coastal Moto have good deals. I went with Hogpro because they had what I wanted and they also made me a deal on the front fender. Coastal gave me pretty good quotes as well. If you want to go with a 200 tire, then you may be better off with a 21/17 rear. I have heard of some wobble issues with the 21/18 with the 200

Thanks Texas. Funny you should reply. I was searching through the forums about two weeks ago and saw your bike. I instantly yelled for my fiance to come take a look. I told her that I want my bike to look like this. Much to my surprise, she said "hell yeah, that's hot"!!! I don't care who says what, the black with chrome is just gorgeous!!!. I had a Heavy Breather on my Deuce and always loved that look. The only thing I am stuck on is whether I like the look of the staggered pipes like your Dresser Duals or the x-look of the V+H Power Duals

FWIW my 07 softail had the 17/21 combo 200 rear and never had a wobble issue and made many runs in excess of 110mph ,I seriously doubt the rim O.D. and tire width has anything remotely to do with wobble JMHO,I suspect the issue is directly related to harleys frame design for touring bikes in that era (hence the redesign for 09s and up)

I run a 21/17 with a 200 rear tire. I bought them from coastal moto. They were great to deal with. Metzler tires. Handles great, no issues turning or slow speed handling. I run over 110 mph regularly with no issues. I have taken several trips 2up and loaded down (wifes $h1t + my beer) with no issues. I lowered the front 1" with the progressive drop in kit and added ricor intiminators. The only down side so far is that the trade off for the good handling of the sticky Metzlers is that they wear faster. I got 9K out of the rear. I do ride like an a$$ though. Bit of a sticker shock buying a new one. Its a metzler 880 marathon xxl 200/50zr-17 cost me $250 installed with dynabeads with the wheel off the bike. Best I could find it online for was about $219 and I still had to get it installed. I need to find someone who will pop a tire on cheap but not muck up a $1200 wheel.
