Worth the change from Rinehart 3.5 to 4?
I currently have the Rinehart true dual 3.5 on my 2004 Road King Custom. I have read many good reviews of the 4" and how they are deeper and slightly quieter which is what I am interested in. However, for those of you who have made the switch from 3.5 to 4, is it worth the $500+ cost?

I made the switch, but just the slipons, not true duals. The 4" are definately more touring friendly, deeper and a little more mellow in that they don't have that crackly edge to them. The size makes them look more impressive and the Clearline manufactured Rhinos appear to be better quality than the older BUB built units. Your call on whether its worth the 500+change.

I say no. I ride with a guy who has the 4" and they are quieter and deeper at idle. Mine louder on the throttle, which are the 3.5. If the 4' were available when I got mine, I may have gone with them. If you were to get the 4", then I am sure you would be able to sell the 3.5's and help offset some of the cost. Couldn't see why you cant get $250 to $300 for your's

I too am interested in a set of 4" Rineharts after reading the comments...wasn't sure before what the difference was between the 2 sizes.
Sounds like (if you'll pardon the pun) the 4" slip ons will give me that deeper tone I'm after for my new FLHX.
Back to the previous question...who has the best deal on Rineharts?
Thanks.
