If I don't plan on any other engine work, why would I want to pay for my own SERT? Seems crazy just for one tune. Is there a reason to buy it?

Well, you can't rent it.

For years I have installed a down stream piggy back programmer from Cobra. It takes less than 20 minutes to install no Dyno fees involved. Cost about $280 and runs the engine much cooler and stronger.

Beats any SE level tune which the dealer may not admit still leaves the bike at EPA AFR because they can be fined $10,000 per unit if caught.

I have put it on 4 bikes since 06 and my son has put it on 2. No failures, no issues and a solid improvement in performance.

Best yet, if you sell or trade just take it off and put on next machine. Call Cobra and they will give you the three #'s you need to set it for the next machine.

Cobra does have the pro model now that tunes the bike constantly for whatever gear, speed or throttle opening input. But more $.

Seven Franklins? If that doesn't include a SEPST, then something is wrong. Or at least dinner and a movie because you are getting screwed.

I might go to Fuel Moto and have them dyno my bike.
Since you live in central WI, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by going anywhere other than to have Jamie do it. I drove three hours to have him do mine and have no regrets whatsoever. He is one of the best out there. ANYBODY CAN HAVE A DYNOJET TUNER, but not everyone knows how to use it optimally.

Thanks. That's what I've heard.

It can only be used on one bike. It becomes "married" to the bike VIN.
