2011 fltrx 96" What to expect?

I went with pretty much the same set-up,except V&H dual big shots. There is definitely a noticeable difference, and when you want it loud, man those hines can be ear bleeders.I love 'em.

I'm coming from a '02 Road King with a 95" stage II. Just cams, AC, and Rinehart true duals 3 1/2". The bike made 80.2 hp.
Dealer claims I can match that with the newer 96" with just a stage I. I just don't see it happening without cams. Just wanted to know what some others are seeing. Seems like a VERY common setup.

True duals without the crossover pipe sound better, and are somewhat cooler, but you will lose some of your low end torque. Don't let anyone tell u different. I've got 'em and the difference is noticeable. If you want the best performance, get a 2 into 1.
Having said that, with you doing the full stage 1 all at once, you may not notice a difference. You'll be gaining power and losing some torque all at the same time, so to speak. I put my duals on several weeks after my slip-ons, a/c and Xied's. It lost some pull out of the hole, but gained a little on the top end. (Seat of the pants dyno with 40 years experience)
Not trying to talk you out of them. Heck I got a pair too. In fact if ya haven't bought 'em yet, consider finding a pair that have been ceramic coated. They will make a huge difference on the amount of heat radiated to the rider and passenger!!! Mine are Rush. I believe S&S makes some too, and Fuel Moto, I think, has a set for '09 and newer.
