Alot of different opinions, gather as much info as Ya can then make your own valued choice. I ran the SE255's in a 103 great low end tq. cam, lot on here say that it works real well in a 96".

A cam swap is pretty straight forward. I would suggest you buy the tool to r&r the cam bearings. The kit from fuel Moto will come with everything you need. I installed the 555's over memorial day. Got the map from fuelmoto for my PC III. Bikes runs extremely well. I have no intention of dyno tuning. I get decent milage (low 40's) on the highway. Have put close to 4000 miles on since the install and have no regrets whatsoever.

Build your engine in your mind,
and when you to the dealership ask for a pro raceing
parts book, study it while you are in the bathroom and
when you can't think of nothing but your perfect engine
get it built. That parts book only cost me 2100.00

I am very satisfied with my Andrews 26h Power Commander III from Fuel Moto.....PLenty of low end grunt...smooth at highway speed...Keith from FM helped me tweek it over the phone...still may call them to make it a bit better on MPG's but the power is worth the low gas mileage...My tire wear sucks too now..LOL...You would be happy with a SE 255 or 555 also...
Call fuel moto though and ask them...

The TW555 cams may reduce torque below 3000 RPMs in a 96" engine because of the stock compression, but perform well above that point. The SE255 is an excellent bolt-in cam for stock 96" engines if you value low-end and midrange torque.

The most important thing is find the RPM range you ride at and pick what cam
works the best for you.

I agree look at the rpm range you really spend most of your time in, then pick the cam for where you want more power.

Well i spend alot of time in all rpm range really.. The only thing i find is when im in tight twisties and tighter sweepers i always find myself down shifting to get the bike in a little bit higher rpm. Higher rpm the bike doesnt have as much vibration, its not as luggy, and my throttle control is better ( letting off the gas a hair wont lug the bike out, and when i throttle out of a corner its still in a good part of the powerband)

I am pretty sure you would benefit in a SE255 or a Andrews 26H...Same boat as me , twisties, 2 up riding touring...I like the low end grunt when turning into a switchback in 3rd gear and stomping on it and it goes or to pass in 5th gear on the highway without downshifting....If i wasn't using the Andrews i would definitely use the SE255. My usable range that i like the best is between 2500-3500. I am sure there are other cams also...the thing is it will be your choice because you will have to determine what you want the cams to do for you. Mine was for heavy pulling and touring.
