Turned out the plug in had broken off at the battery terminal. Yellow usually means the current is only going one way. Check all connections and wire integrety.

 

It was not charging at all, voltage output was checked by me with a voltmeter.

 

Will the tender put out voltage , if not connected to a low voltage battery ?? I didn't think so.
