Default 2002 road glide tc-88 a or b?

Sorry to bother you guys with such a basic question, but I'm striking out everywhere. I just came up on a stock 2002 R.G. I know its a twin cam 88 but I cant find weather its an A or B. I'm 90% sure its an A. I want to strip the driveline to use on a rigid frame bobber project I been messing with for years. Never messed with anything but Evo. Its all new to me. Thanks for the help guys

Cool! Thanks for the info. Now I know witch way to go. You got any opinion on these tc-88's? I've read about some bearing issues in the past. Also, you think this motor will shake too much being solid mounted to a rigid frame?

The "B" motor is the counterbalanced motor used in the softails. The cases have a different shape to accomodate the balance mechanism.

here are the two different cases. B motor on the left

Here's the counterbalance mechanisn with the drive chain connecting the two balance weights

with the drive chain and sprockets removed, the two weights still in the case flanking the flywheel

Nice. They look Quite a bit different. The A type seems like a more traditional look. Perfect for my old school bobber. Thanks for the visual. Good stuff. Nice bike by the way
