Is it just me, or am I seeing a trend here in replies. Just orderd a new tire. Old tire only had about a thousand miles on it so it pained me to do it, but.........

most likely there is no reason to replace the tire(unless it has low tread or sidewall damage) you do need to clean the fix a flat out,it is only for a temp repair,it will thru off the balance, and can lead to a blow out..find out where the leak was,patch the tire,replace the valve,put in a tube..what ever it needs

Get that stuff out of your wheel as soon as possible fix a flat is very corrosive to aluminum wheels.

Why is the tire JUNK, please explain.
It is very possible that if the tire was ridden any distance extremely low on air pressure or flat...It will have broken cords in the tire...causing bulges or knots on the tire...But obviously not in this case...I have seen it many times before.
