Just bought a black 2011 a couple weeks ago. Did the 1000 mile service last week and the engine and shocks feel so much better broken in a little.

 

Great bike! Love the color. I recently went from an Ultra to a King myself, I think it just depends on what kind of riding you are doing. I got black because the wife talked me into to it, but if they would have had a white one on the showroom floor I would have debated a little harder!

I've got a black FLHR coming in Friday. I can't wait!

How are you guys getting that many miles in such a short time? Engine break in makes highway riding rough. Which approach are you guys doing? Breaking it in "by the book" or "riding like you stole it"?

 

Congrats on the new King and I am starting to like that bike in white. Also starting to see more people going back to RK's (I did), must be something in the water.

 

My dealer said to take it easy for the first 500 miles, staying below 70 and no constant speed, everyone has their way to do it.
