Default Power Commander V map from FuelMoto Question

Hello all,

Got a PC-V from FuelMoto, Jamie pre-loaded a map for me. Got some decel pops, called and talked to Keith, he show me how to "richen" up the fuel @ 0% throttle from 1500 - 6500rpm. Still playing with the #'s.

I noticed when I open up the fuel maps, front (cyl #1) and rear (cyl #2) are set differently, I always thought they should be the same. Not to doubt Jamie's settings, just curious....

The cylinders run/burn at different temps due to air flow over the motor, so they're set individually to accomodate for this.

I tune with a Power Vision, but the principle is the same, which is to provide the correct injector pulse-width (AFR) to the cylinders at the right time (spark advance). My tune shows differences between the cylinders, some more radical than you might think possible, yet others are very close. When I was running a PCV it was no different. I don't care as long as the tune is right, but like you wonder why this is the case.

I would take Keith's advice and make those changes to the 0% column and leave the rest of the map alone. Fuel Moto's maps are generally very close to optimal based on what I've seen reported here, as well as my own experience.
