First of all welcome to the forum from Texas.
I dont think so, but you are going to love
the K&N air filter they dont have to be cleaned
for 50,000 miles unless you live on a dusty dirt road

Usually with a change to the airbox a download will be necessary. It will run even more lean and the download will be needed to tweak the mixture back up.

nope. changing the airfilter will not require a download... which, IMO, is the biggest rip-off MOCO has perpetrated on us. an add-on fuel control unit and free flowing exhaust will make it run better and cooler.

I checked on that same thing when I bought my limited. Both Harley dealers in my town say yes, because the K&N flows more air than stock.

Quite coincidental that this subject came up today with my buddy who is the most respected HD wrench that I have ever known. He has been wrenching on HD's full time for 35 years and performs almost all of the dyno tunes for the local dealership.

He says you can get by with no additional tuning when changing only the mufflers, but any change to the airbox requires a reflash or aftermarket tuner. I got to believe him, he lives it everyday.
