Upgrading- turbulance?
I presently have an 07 streetbob. I have a chance to pick up an 08 Road Glide with harley 5 inch deflector ( amazing price ). I am searching but I keep coming across "buffeting and Turbulence". Is this set up not a good for riding? Daily cruiser to work with the once in a while 400 miler. I would love to travel 1500+ but there are so many adverse posts about this buffeting and everyone has tried a thousand shields and lowers. To me, buffeting is always there with the baby apes on my dyna. Would a street glide be better? Stock screen or not? I prefer the look of the deflector, but dont want to have this end of day fatigue from fighting the wind. Is this just a subjective subject? Thanks for any help!

Get the SG. I just got one and it's my first bike in 40 years of riding that has a fairing and windshield. It sure is nice not getting beat up by wind, bugs, road debris, etc. Yeah, there will likely be buffeting issues. But you'll have that with most any bike that has a fairing and/or windshield. Do a lot of research on here and try to find someone with a SG that is about your height and build. And be prepared to spend a few bucks along the way. But if you do your research, your cash outlay will be minimal.
One thing about windshields. Most everyone talks about height. I'm tall, but I also have broad shoulders. Look into the width of the shield as well as the height. Clark's windshields makes a shield that is wider than stock, and that's the one I went with.
