Default Anyone take the Tank emblem off of their Limited?

Just not a fan of the Tank emblem Harley puts on the Limited. Can it be removed without screwing up the paint on the Tank?

I've taken them off other tanks . Drain the gas and set the bike in the sun for a couple hours. Then get a heat gun and heat the emblem and the adhesive backing. Be careful with the heat gun or you'll ruin the paint. You should be able to pull the emblem off. Use Goo Gone to remove any adhesive still left on the tank.

Just park in in the sun a couple of hours and use some fish line to "cut" or "saw" it off and use either goo gone or WD-40 for the remaining glue. Do NOT use steel leader fish line but nylon momofilament. Frankly I like the emblem.

Use what the professionals use. Available at NAPA: 3M Adhesive Remover. Safe on paint. I'd be cautious of using anything else.

Default simple

I soaked some kite string in Goo-gone and just worked it through the adhesive,
pour a little behind the emblem first, let it soak in for a bit.

Go slow and try not to scratch up the clear coat.

They peel right off. No paint issues to worry about. Just pulled em off.
I also thought the Limited emblems looked cheep and plastic.
Replaced mine with the older Roadking Classic ones

If I removed my tank badges I'm afraid everyone would still know I was riding a Harley.

After you pull them off, mess with everybody and put on a tank badge from something like a Vespa
